New article about Emilie: "Profiling rising star, Emilie deRavin " (

Hello eveyone! How are you? Sorry for the lack of updates but as you have probably released Em has been missing" for the last 4 months! I love the fact that she is not the typical celebrity and she is a low profile person but having no news of her for so long is sad! I would just like to know she is ok and if she is working on a new project. Anyway, i would like to share with you a new article about Em posted in a site called The writer of the article says a lot of great things about Em so i suggest reading it!

Those who are big fans of LOST are familiar with Australian beauty Emilie deRavin, who played Claire Littleton.  But anybody who did not follow the hit series may not be as familiar with this 28 year old (born December 27, 1981) star.
Emilie deRavin, originally from Mount Eliza, Victoria in Australia, began her career in 1999 in the less than popular show, BeastMaster.  From there she continued to snag bit parts on television and minor movie rolls. Her big film breakthrough came in 2006 when she stared in the blockbuster, The Hills Have Eyes (she played Brenda Carter). Success on television came a little earlier for deRavin however. In 2004 she started becoming a more household name when she landed her role on LOST. Most recently Emilie was seen co-staring with Twilight star Robert Pattinson in the 2009 film, Remember Me. Coming up she will be in the 2010 film The Chameleon and lending her voice to the upcoming animated film, Legend of the Guardians.
What we do not understand is why this talented young actress has not taken Hollywood by storm yet. After staring in Remember Me, deRavin proved to anyone who was willing to watch that she can play much more than pregnant Australian supporting actress. Her performance in the film showed not only her ability to play a much younger role, but also a much more diverse one (not to mention her perfect American accent).
With her girl-next-door beauty, incredible physique and actual raw talent we are left scratching our heads as to why Hollywood isn't pounding on her door. Emilie deRavin's career up until this point seems to have been characterized by supporting roles. Emilie has however expressed her desire for a successful career in acting, “I want to pursue as much of a serious acting career as I can" says deRavin, "not just a flimsy overnight career. I take it very seriously and I really want to pursue it for the rest of my life.”
With only on Screen Actors Guild Award under her belt for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series (in 2006), we hope this is just the beginning of a long and successful career for deRavin. We are willing to make our bets now that if deRavin continues to deliver strong performances in film that she will be a part of Hollywood royalty in no time.

I would like to thank one more time Rachel Leigh from Fan Forum for finding the article!!!!
