My "Operation Endgame" Review

Hello everyone! As i told you in another post about Operation Endgame, i saw the movie i wanted to write a review about it in order to share it with you! You can read it bellow:

THE MOVIE: I think it was a good movie (not a masterpiece) and it could have been released in more theaters. There was a lot of mystery and action in it and i was curious to know what is going on from the beggining to the end... There was a lot of voilence and blood too but i was prepered for that so it wasn't a problem for me... The main drawback of the movie was the plot! The characters were not developed enough and the comedic ones weren't "used" enough as well. They didn't have a lot of lines and the movie was an action film and not a comedy. This doesn't mean it was not enjoyable but i think with such a strong cast they should have done more. Moreover, i thought the movie was kind of sort. If it was longer i believe that some of it's problem would be solved and the actors would have more screen time to show their talent! Furthermore, i don't know what to think about the end. It wasn't that bad but some things weren't explained enough. I would like to watch it again with subtitles in order to understand it better but i am still not sure if i liked the end!

EMILIE'S CHARACTER (HEIROPHANT): I think that Heirophant is my favorite character from the movie.I would discribe her as a creepy-cute creature! To be honest i was kind of afraid of her in some scenes.. Emilie was amazing! I think it was one of her best performances so far!! Whenever Emilie was in a scene i had a huge smile in my face, i was kind of proud of her because she was doing sth completely different from what she has done so far. Heirophant was nothing like crazy Claire. I thought that they were gonna have similarities but there were two completely different crazy people! And that is great because Emilie could have just done what she did in Lost! And i am extra happy to write these things because Emilie is almost unexperienced in the comedy gerne!! I also loved her accent. Whenever i heard her talking it was like watching True Blood!

So, even though it is not a perfect movie and has some flaws, i enjoyed it and i recomment you seeing it! You will have a great time and if you love Emilie, you are gonna love her in this film too!!! Her role is something Em has never done before!!! I am sure you will be amazed by her. She wasn't the lead actress of the movie but her role was much bigger that i first thought! Emilie's new movie Operation Engame is now released!!! It is available on DVD and Blu-ray! I saw it and i think i liked it! I promise to post my review about the movie by the end of the day or at least tomorrow! You can buy it or rent it and i am sure you will be more than pleased by Emilie's performance! She was amazing! Her character was really unique and she did things that she had never done before in her other projects!!! I can't say more but i really recomment you seeing the movie!

MY THOUGHTS: I’ll admit, as a film critic, I like to get off my high horse every so often and watch a brainless comedy. Hell, more than every so often. This movie looks like it’s got potential to be something worth watching, but it also could easily be a clear cut case of “use everything that’s funny to get people in,” which is a pretty common tactic. Still, it’s an exciting opportunity, that’s for sure. I’m not terribly excited about Corddry, because I’ve never been a big over-the-top kind of humor guy, but it looks like he’s put to good use by the end of this trailer. However, the ultimate surprise are these people being used that I had no idea had any comedic inclinations. It’s been a while since Ellen Barkin’s done something that made me laugh and well, I didn’t even know Odette Yustman could do comedy until this. Still, I have my reservations about this one, but it looks like it has a lot of potential. Plus, I’m always for a reunion of Mission Impossible co-stars, but that’s probably just my nerdiness shining through. With a comedic all-star cast and an impressive array of other stars, Operation: Engame is filled with all the potential for an enjoyable if not brainless action-comedy romp.

Here a movie like looks like it could be rather entertaining. Operation Endgame looks like an action, comedy, parody movie of all espionage style movies that go before it!
The movie stars Rob Corddry we recently saw in Hot Tub Time Machine alongside Zack Galifianakis, Emilie de Ravin, Ving Rhames, Ellen Barkin, Odette Yustman, Maggie Q  and Jeffrey Tambor. Latino Review gave me the heads up on this one and whey mention that it only had a limited thetrical run and will be going to DVD pretty soon.
No information as yet what will happen in the UK but we can keep you posted.
 
TrailerWatch: Green and Red Band Trailers for Operation: Endgame

In our first true TrailerWatch post in awhile we crawled the web until we found 2 trailers for the same movie, one green and one red. When we watch the trailers we got really excited about the film. Operation: Endgame features the likes of Rob Corrdry, Ving Rhames, Zach Galifianiks, Maggie Q, Adam Scott, Bob Odenkirk and Jeffrey Tambor.

According to other websites who have posted the trailer this project was listed under another title during its production called Rogues Gallery. The film is basically, an action-comedy that sees two teams of government spies pitted against one another. I have to say these trailers have come out of nowhere. What is even the bigger kicker is that this movie is not getting a theatrical release as it will go straight to Blu-ray and DVD.

Are you kidding me? I mean all of these dudes in the film are mega comedy stars now. Zach Galifiankis is huge right now with The Hangover, Rob Corrdry with Hot Tub Time Machine, Adam Scott with Party Down and now Parks and Rec. I mean what studio ass made that decision? Unless this movie didn’t test well but that is all I can guess at this point unless Darko Entertainment went out of business.

A battle ensues among groups of government spy teams in an underground facility after their boss is assassinated. It looks like the flick was originally scheduled for a theatrical release, however, Anchor Bay Entertainment, its distributor, has now instead opted to unceremoniously dump the movie onto DVD, even though it looks like it very well could be fun and entertaining enough to have some life in theaters.

As you may know Operation Endgame will be realised straight to DVDs later this month.. But if you live in Los Angeles, you should know!! Laemmle Sunset 5 Theater will be showing the movie for a week (the realise date is July 16) so if you live near this theater you could go and watch the film.

Remember Me DVD Debuts at #4

The Remember Me DVD / Blu-ray made it's debut at #4 on the sales chart and #3 on the rental chart. The sales are reported by the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert and Blu-ray Disc sales charts and the rentals are tallied from Home Media Magazine's rental chart.

At Redbox, Remember Me comes in at #3 from the past 7 days of rentals, and #19 out of the last 30 days.

As of late last week, it was still number 3 in sales an 4 in rentals on Itunes, but has currently dropped to 16 and 7 respectively. The renting drop off being less steep means that new people are still watching it and viewing it for the first time.

Admittedly I know little to nothing about this film, though I’m somewhat shocked considering who all is in it.  When you have a cast that includes Rob Corddry, Zack Galifianakis, Ellen Barkin, Adam Scott, Ving Rhames, Maggie Q, Odette Yustman, Joe Anderson, Emilie de Ravin, Brandon T. Jackson, Jeffrey Tambor, and Bob Odenkirk… well, how does that fly under the wire?  It’s helmed by first-time director Fouad Mikati, but has Richard Kelly (DONNIE DARKO) as a producer.  This thing looks like a Joe Carnahan and Todd Phillips love child.  And now I’m hearing this is going direct to Anchor Bay DVD, which is surprising, as the trailer looks pretty good… at least in my opinion.  Plus, with Zack Galifianakis having so much heat on him from THE HANGOVER, and Rob Corddry fresh off of HOT TUB TIME MACHINE, how did this not get a respectable theatrical release?  Check out the poster above, and the red band trailer below, and share you thoughts with us in the comments.
